Cheshire and Wirral Shopmobility

Overview

ShopMobility UK is a nationwide network of centres which hire out mobility equipment to the public. This equipment is mainly manual wheelchairs, powerchairs and mobility scooters so people with restricted mobility can enjoy independence outdoors.

ShopMobility services are provided by local charities and tend to be in urban centres, close to shops and amenities. They are available to be used by local people, visitors and those with temporarily reduced mobility – for example, people with injuries. Some centres also repair and sell mobility aids and equipment. (Not all ShopMobility services are affiliated with ShopMobility UK.)

Costs vary, but are typically low. Frequent users may be able to take advantage of a membership scheme.
